Halloween was a blast with the Ruebl kids

Friday started out with Jason and I going out with my sister and husband, Heather & Chad. We went to the Crystal Ballroom and took dance lessons on the Fox Trot. Then out to dinner and a few drinks.  As confusing as the dance was--I still had a blast and with the good mood Jason was in the rest of the weekend, I'd say he did too. It was so nice to hang out with my sis and her husband too--sometimes we just get so busy with our families...that it's hard to find that adult time too.  So glad we did it.

Saturday was spent holding open houses while Jason kept the fort down. Then ready for Halloween. Windy and chilly, we were prepared. Mitchell went to his Dad's to spend it with his grandma (they always watch a scary movie-but this year he got stuck with a romance..too funny). Dylan was Spiderman for the second year in a row. Austin was Batman--changing out of his Batman pj's and into his Batman costume--mask, cape and all. Mercedes was Jasmin from Alladin. She wasn't a big fan of the pants, but once we convinced her she was just beautiful, we were ready to go. Preston also wanted the Batman outfit, so be it. He wasn't fond of the horse outfit (head was too heavy for him).

Out into the cold and up and down 3 blocks--more than enough and a month's worth of candy for us all. We were joined the first half by our newer neighbors-the Wemmers. Our kids were a bit slower -so we encouraged them to move on...we sure had fun though!

Finally off to my sister's to hang out for a while before they hit the town. We take all the kids to our house for a scary-yet child approved Halloween movie. This year was a Corpse Bride. Fun for all. Finally falling into a blissful sleep!
